Physics first
Model assumptions and nonlinear effects must fit the question. We discuss both before we compute.
About NoVibTech
We develop software and methods for the vibration behaviour of structures that are too complex for conventional FE packages. Our focus: nonlinear structural dynamics, contact mechanics and friction damping.
From research to application
NoVibTech was founded in 2018 on the initiative of Dr.-Ing. Johann Gross, a researcher at the University of Stuttgart, as a technology transfer and start-up unit within TTI GmbH. Since then, the team has completed numerous projects industrialising vibration prediction methods for customers in turbomachinery, automotive and the tool industry. In 2026, the independent NoVibTech GmbH was founded.
This background shapes our work: the method has to fit the physics, and the tool has to work in everyday engineering.
Milestones
Our methods are published and compared with measurements on test rigs and in the engine.
Technology transfer and start-up unit within TTI GmbH, Stuttgart.
Published in the Journal of Engineering for Gas Turbines and Power. The same year, the Springer book “Harmonic Balance for Nonlinear Vibration Problems” appears.
A new test rig for self-excited vibration with friction; the measurements are compared with predictions by the OrAgL solver.
NoVibTech becomes an independent limited company. OrAgL, ARGUS and engineering from a single source: input, run and result in one end-to-end, traceable workflow.
How we work
Model assumptions and nonlinear effects must fit the question. We discuss both before we compute.
Inputs, runs and results belong together. That is exactly what ARGUS is built for.
Exchange with the Institute of Aircraft Propulsion Systems, with users and development partners gives further development a concrete direction.
Next step
See ARGUS, evaluate OrAgL or discuss a specific task. We start wherever you are.
