The engineering interface for OrAgL

Search less. Understand more.

Edit decks, monitor jobs, compare curves and animate mode shapes, all in one interface. Input, computation and results stay connected and traceable back to their origin.

Five modules

Input, execution and results stay connected.

Each module covers one step of everyday work with OrAgL. Together they replace file hunting, copy and paste, and switching between editor, terminal and plotting tool.

01 · Edit

JEdi

Edit decks safely

Keyword inspector, catalogue, action wheel and manual right at the deck.

02 · Launch

Jobs

Traceable computation

Status, logs, resources and projects. Notifications for running jobs.

03 · Observe

JSAT

Follow results as they compute

Live curves, comparison of several runs, offsets and DOF labels.

04 · Continue

RE*

Reuse a stored state

Point selection, diff preview and an animation attached in one go.

05 · Animate

MESH

The motion behind the curve

Node sets, sectors, colour maps, playback and export.

The application in detail

Five views. One connected workflow.

From the first keyword to the final animation: explore the workflow through actual views from the ARGUS product preview. Every capture can be enlarged.

ARGUS JEdi: OrAgL deck on the left and keyword inspector with parameter guidance on the right. Enlarge ↗
JEdi · Every keyword explained, right in the deck. Inspector, catalogue, autocomplete and the matching manual entry. Diagnostics and PRE status show whether a run is ready before you submit it.
ARGUS Jobs: job list, analysis progress, result preview and log in one view. Enlarge ↗
Jobs · Every run at a glance. Status and progress per requested analysis, a quick result preview, .lst, .out and deck in one panel. Errors surface immediately instead of hiding in a log file.
ARGUS JSAT: several frequency response curves with a legend and result selection. Enlarge ↗
JSAT · The curve grows while the solver runs. Plot results from several runs together with reference curves, with offsets and a legend, and pick degrees of freedom precisely by DOF label.
ARGUS restart dialog: a stored curve point and continuation strategy. Enlarge ↗
RE* · Pick a point on the curve, choose a strategy (continue, cross-analysis or animation) and review the changed deck in a diff preview. Frequency and state come from the data set, not from copying values by hand.
ARGUS MESH: an FE model with coloured node sets and model information. Enlarge ↗
MESH · Contacts, loads and response nodes coloured in the model. For cyclic symmetry, go from one sector to the full wheel: add sectors, play mode shapes back and export them.

The views show a demonstration data set from the product preview. We discuss the current feature set and the right configuration for you in the demo.

Built for everyday analysis work

More overview. Fewer interruptions.

01

Context instead of file hunting

Status, logs and results right at the job. Results open from the run that produced them.

02

Checked, not hoped

Keyword help and diagnostics as you type, PRE status before launch, and overwrite protection.

03

Follow-up runs without manual work

Restart and refine straight from a curve point. Frequency and state come from the data set.

04

Traceable to the origin

Revisions and follow-up runs stay linked to input deck, job and result.

Fits your environment

Your model. Your compute environment.

ARGUS is built for working with OrAgL on HPC clusters. We work out which environment, modules and hand-offs suit your team based on your actual workflow. Requests from everyday analysis work feed directly into further development.

  • 1 · See the workflow

A guided live demo of deck editing, jobs, curves and the model view.

  • 2 · Align the environment

Review operating system, OrAgL version, file access and cluster integration (e.g. PBS) together.

  • 3 · Evaluate on your own task

A representative use case shows how the workflow performs in your team.

Good to know

Questions about ARGUS.

What does the ARGUS demo cover?

A complete workflow: editing a deck, launching and monitoring runs, comparing results, preparing a follow-up run and animating mode shapes.

Is ARGUS a solver?

No. OrAgL is the numerical solver. ARGUS is the interface for working with inputs, runs and results.

Does ARGUS work with our cluster?

ARGUS is designed for HPC clusters, and the product preview shows integration with PBS. We clarify the right configuration for your environment together beforehand.

Can my team evaluate ARGUS?

Yes. Contact us for a demo and to plan an evaluation. Together we define the use case, environment and appropriate feature set.
